SCREEEMFEST Haunts Canobie Lake Park Sept. 24 – Oct. 30

Two New Haunts for 2016, rides, games, ROCKtoberfest, a petting zoo and much more.

SALEM, NH – Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire, is the place to be for “screeems,” thrills and chills during the Park’s SCREEEMFEST event, each weekend from September 24 through October 30. Canobie offers one of the best varieties of fall entertainment in all of New England.

There’s fun by day with rides, games and plenty of family-friendly options, including a petting zoo on Saturday and Sunday afternoons through October 23rd. Then at night, SCREEEMFEST adds fear to all that fun through October 30th with five terrifying haunted houses, including two NEW haunts this year: Carnivus where evil clowns still rule the long-dead carnival, and Virus: Quarantine, where no one is immune. There are roaming “monsters” and a monster parade throughout the park, Halloween-themed games and much more.

You can also enjoy a variety of live entertainment at no additional charge during SCREEMFEST. Canobie’s ROCKtoberfest event features a different legendary rock tribute band each weekend during SCREEEMFEST featuring professional touring bands. Also appearing is the live and freaky “SwingShift SideShow,” performing strange feats of physical daring that are truly not for the faint of heart.

A “Tribute to the Life and Legacy of Prince” show will be presented from September 24 to October 10, while “Tribute to Michael: Ghosts,” will thrill audiences from October 14 to October 30.

One low admission price for Canobie Lake Park SCREEEMFEST includes all haunted houses, operating rides, ROCKtoberfest, the Petting Zoo, live entertainment and more. For Park hours, show schedules, directions and information about group discounts, visit canobie.com.

About the Atlantic Grill Music by the Sea Concert Series 2016

Our Atlantic Grill Music by the Sea concert series is heralded as a family-favorite summer event, complete with great music, unparalleled seaside dancing, and delicious picnic-style dining, all for a great cause.

The season kicks off on Thursday evening, July 7 with the premier U2 tribute band, Joshua Tree. Joshua Tree awes the crowd with their remarkable reproduction of the world’s most popular rock band.

Be sure to arrive early on July 14 when Entrain rocks the shore. Entrain has proven to be a favorite of our concert fans and has brought sell-out crowds. The band is praised for its ability to shift effortlessly between musical styles—from rock, blues, calypso and ska, to zydeco, jazz and funk—all based around drums and an infectious rhythm.

One of the most fun-loving, local party bands is back on July 21; Jumbo Circus Peanuts. The big bands’ swinging-pop-jazz, crazy costumes and tossed-into-the-crowd beaded necklaces keep the crowd on their feet all evening.

Beatles for Sale joins the series for the first time on July 28 and is sure to be crowd-pleaser! The 2015 Limelight Music Award’s Tribute Band of the Year will have the whole family singing along and dancing the night away to your favorite Beatles tunes.

Concerts are held under our festive tent on the lawn of the Center, rain or shine. Bring a beach blanket or chair, pack a picnic, or purchase freshly grilled dinner and beverages on site. Concert-goers can enjoy the Center and its exhibits, free with concert admission. Alcohol and dogs may not be brought into the park; adult beverages available for purchase.

The music begins at 6:00 p.m.; gates open at 5:00 p.m. for dining. Tickets are required and are $12 for adults and $2 for children ages 3-12; under 3 are free. Tickets are available at the Center, at the gate or online. Tickets are good for any one of the five concerts in the series.

Members can purchase their tickets at half-price. You can join online or at the gate and enjoy all the benefits membership offers, including on-the-spot discounted concert tickets! Please note that holders of a Library Membership Pass do not qualify for half-price concert tickets. For more information, call 603-436-8043.

The Atlantic Grill Music by the Sea concert series is also sponsored by Allegra of Portsmouth, Baker Newman Noyes, Exeter Events & Tents, Liberty Mutual, People’s United Bank, Piscataqua Savings Bank, ReVision Energy, Seacoast Media Group, Union of Concerned Scientists, WMUR TV9, z107 radio and 95.3 The Bull.
